Greetings,
Federal/State governments and the majority of California Counties are in debt. Nevada County is one of only a few that remains solvent. Nevada County has maintained an enviable record of balanced budgets and emergency reserves.
Working as the Nevada County Senior Budget Analyst for the past 7 years I've worked closely with various County departments, the County CEO, Board of Supervisors and retired Treasurer E. Christina Dabis. Armed with an MBA and relying on integrity, imagination and common sense allowed me to play an instrumental role in contributing to maintaining our County's fiscal well-being.
The primary responsibility of an elected official is to safeguard taxpayer dollars.

A County Treasurer must seek a fair rate of return while, first and foremost, preserving capital funds. They must be successful in understanding risk and offset any risk through diversification of investments during changing economic times.
I was raised in this County, went to its schools and am now, with my husband, raising our children here.
I will safeguard the financial future of this County with a strategic investment plan adaptable to changing economic times and relevant to our changing needs.
